REGENLOOP Lab-Scale Reactor Research

During Summer 2026, I supported the DOE-funded REGENLOOP program through the development of a laboratory-scale redox reactor with an external fluidized bed for thermal-energy capture and release.

My work focused on reactor assembly, instrumentation integration, and LabVIEW-based controls for automated cyclic operation and experimental testing.

Mechanical Engineering Intern Team Lead

Heatel LLC

Led an intern engineering team while supporting the design and testing of industrial heating and thermal-management equipment.

  • Coordinated intern workflows and served as the design connection between junior staff and senior engineers.
  • Developed a solution to a high-priority packaging challenge that improved modeled system efficiency by 7%.
  • Designed equipment in SolidWorks and Inventor and prepared manufacturing documentation.
  • Evaluated OEM prototypes using thermal performance test data.

Teaching Assistant — Thermodynamics

Colorado School of Mines

Supported students working with thermodynamic cycles, energy balances, and EES-based power system models.

  • Completed a full technical trial of the course’s Chevron combined-cycle power plant project before its release.
  • Validated project parameters, efficiency calculations, and expected model behavior.
  • Helped more than 60 students troubleshoot EES code and understand complex power cycles.
  • Provided feedback focused on technical reasoning rather than only final answers.

Teaching Assistant — Engineering Economics

Supported a course section of approximately 160 students through office hours, exam preparation, grading, and detailed feedback.

  • Taught methods for translating word problems into structured cash-flow models.
  • Supported analysis involving present worth, rate of return, inflation, and project comparison.
  • Graded exams and term projects with written explanations of logic errors.

Vice President & Founding Officer

Tri-Alpha Honor Society · Colorado School of Mines

Helped establish the first Tri-Alpha chapter at Mines and build a support network for first-generation students.

  • Elected Vice President for the 2026–2027 academic year after serving as Historian.
  • Help organize social, academic, volunteer, and career-focused events.
